Federal Deficit/2007 Bush Budget
Federal Deficit:
OMB has estimated the National Debt at the end of the Bush term will be about $10 Trillion and the annual interest will have jumped from $230 Billion in 2001 to $500 Billion by 2010.
One of the Bush objectives for the second term is to reduce the annual deficit by 50%. That would mean by 2008, the United States would still be running an annual budget deficit of over $200 billion every year.
His objective of cutting future annual increases in
half does not deal with the issue that he and his predecessors since 1980 have created the $ 10 Trillion debt.
2007 Bush Budget
